Brian
Frey, Director of Television Programming & Production,
has worked in Public Television for nearly 18 years. Mr. Frey
is currently an executive producer/ writer and director at WSKG-TV.
Several of his documentaries have aired nationally on PBS. He
has won five consecutive New York State Broadcasters Awards and
three New York State Emmy Awards for best documentary and writing.
Brian was selected as one of 20 producers nationally to participate
in the 2005 CPB Producers' Academy at WGBH in Boston.
Carolyn
Weston, Director of Educational Services has worked
as the WSKG Educational Services Coordinator for over seven years.
In her capacity as Educational Services Coordinator, Mrs. Weston
has written a number of grants, including most recently, the
Rockefeller Music grant to produce a series performances by local
musicians; a Susan G. Komen grant to create a radio program on
breast cancer awareness; and a Soundvisions grant for a radio
production on the latest DNA research. Prior to coming to WSKG,
Carolyn was a teacher for 14 years, in districts including New
Jersey and New York State.
Carol
Young, Manager of Membership & Special Events, started
at WSKG as a volunteer in both the auction and membership departments,
after having taught pre-school and serving as assistant to the
president of a trailer sales firm in Syracuse, NY. In September
of 1999, Mrs. Young was hired as a membership clerk and in May
2003 filled the position of Membership Administrator. Since that
time she has successfully led television and radio drives, and
addressed the needs, concerns and comments of WSKG members. In
her current position as Manager of Membership & Special events,
Carol is responsible for all on air fundraising including auction,
television and radio drives and other events as they occur.
