About the Classroom Elements

Features of the classroom elements include overview, themes, DVD segment descriptions, discussion questions, activities, lesson plans, and additional resources.

In a commitment to preserving local history and sharing important stories of our region with younger generations, WSKG developed classroom elements correlating with Agnes: Flood of ’72, Johnson, Path Through History, and  Watson.  These collections serve grades 4-12 focusing on local and New York State history.

The Kids in Motion, and MOVE IT! collections were created based on the community need of integrating physical activity into the traditional classroom setting and across content areas.  These are intended for grades K-5 and were developed in partnership with Binghamton City School District.

The Good to Know collection is for grades Pre-K, K, and 1 and offer short, fun, non-intimidating videos that provide students with strategies around NYS Common Core math modules.  The videos and support materials are useful for teachers and parents alike!  This project was developed in consultation with local exemplary mathematics teachers.
