BATWOMAN 24" x
12.5" WSKG PRICE: $750
"Batwoman was inspired by my friend,
Winefred, a Science Fiction writer. She very much
enjoyed the idea that she is carried forth on the wings of a Bat
with her companion snakes. A symbolic image, that I'm very
pleased to report, has spoken to many viewers of the
painting."
Ann L. DuBois is an east-coast artist
who is enamored with the visual world and all that it offers to an
artist. Her first interests were the portrayal of the human
body. On moving to the Catskill Mountains from Brooklyn, she
added Plant life to her subjects.
Since early childhood, under the
guidance of her father, a sculptor, and mother, a fashion designer,
she's thought of herself as an artist. Fortunately along her
way in life, she's convinced a number of people to agree with
her.
Ms. DuBois will will
being having a solo show, opening July 2nd, at the Southern Tier
HealthLink Gallery in the Lackawanna Train Station in
Binghamton. This will be a First Friday Art Walk Event...stop
