"I spent a lot of time setting up this image and it took me many tries to get it right. My goal was to show the illusion of motion right after the golf club strikes the ball. When doing research I found that the golf ball does indeed get distorted once it is struck by the club. This is due to the transfer of energy from the club to the golf ball. This distortion lasts only for a split second. The ball quickly recoils and off it goes… Hopefully leaving the golfer satisfied with their shot!"

 William Bay resides in Chenango Forks and he has been a photographer of one sort or another for most of his life… He enjoys photographing wildlife and nature best, but also dabbles in studio still life, letting his more creative side guide the photos. William is a member of the Roberson Photo Club and his works can be viewed at some of the areas art galleries.
