The Ripe Bananas

Jacob

JacobYo.  My name's Jacob.  As you may know, I'm a part of the cast for Move It!, an awesome TV show.  I (as my parents and friends say) have an excellent personality.  I make friends quickly and they like me a lot.  I love to fly real, NOT model, airplanes and be at air-shows.  I'm really adventurous and also love to explore and ride ATV's.  I'm usually happy and a great guy to be around.

I think being picked for Move It! was the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life (so far)!  I was so excited when I heard that news that I practically shook the house with my screams of success.

I know a lot of people on my team so we naturally work together.  We did great on the last challenge, even though we lost.  We're going to win, so blue and orange team: BEWARE.

Khala

KhalaHi, I'm Khala!  I have a fun and loving personality.  I also have a great sense of humor.  When people are around me, I have a very outgoing personality.  I'm never shy, and I'm always ready to try new adventures.  That's one of the biggest things that makes me, me.

My favorite thing to do is perform.  I love to act, sing, and dance.  I also love the feeling that I get when I'm on stage in front of a lot of people, the feeling of the lights shining down on me.  That is the best feeling in the world!!!

Matthew

MatthewHi, my name is Matthew.  I am 11 years old and in the 6th grade.  Some of my hobbies include acting, playing lacrosse and skiing.  My favorite thing is acting.  I have been involved with the Endicott Performing Arts Center for three years.  Some of my favorite rolls have been Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors, the Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz and most recently, Mike Teavee in Willy Wonka.  I am very excited to be doing the Move It show.  It's a lot of fun!

Teairaha

TeairahaTeairaha is in 5th grade. Her favorite subject is math. She has two brothers and three sisters. She enjoys swimming with her family, being with friends, going to the park to play tag and swing on the swings. She also likes jumping rope, drawing and singing. She plans to be a veterinarian and a singer when she is older. The saying that best sums her up is the Hannah Montana song "I Got Nerve," which has to do with having the courage to try new things.

James

JamesI am James and I am in the fifth grade. I am very active and like to be healthy.  I play travel soccer, basketball intramurals and recreation tennis.  I like to ski, sled, play football with my friends, ride bike and swim.  I play piano and violin and am in the chorus at school.  I stay active, eat healthy food like fruits and vegetables and not fast foods.  I drink lots of water and try to get a good night's sleep every night.

Move It! is a fun and good way to get kids to pay more attention to being healthy.  I think kids need to stay active and try different things. They also need to read and go new places to learn so they will know more.  This also helps them stay healthy.

Matt

Matt 2.jpgI'm Matt, a Move It! host.  I'm in high school.  I am involved in Character Council, a club that explains the important qualities that leaders should have, and I am involved in Italian club.  I love to be outdoors, fish, observe nature, travel, and meet new people.

I look at every day as an opportunity to learn something new.  I believe teaching a new concept is the best way to learn about it.  By teaching other people, I have a positive impact on their lives, and I remember what I learned most through those experiences.  Of all the organizations I am involved in, my favorite is the Family, Career, Community, Leaders, of America.  FCCLA is a nation-wide, non-profit student organization. Our mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development.  FCCLA has brought out the leader within me, willing to influence others and help them achieve personal excellence.

To me, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important. This includes staying active and exercising.  Although it seems simple, this does not only mean exercising the body, but exercising the mind too.
