About the Host of Let’s Polka

Bill Flynn, host of WSKG’s Let’s Polka
Saturdays at 6:30pm on WSKG TV

Bill Flynn has worked in broadcasting since his college years at Wilkes-Barre University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. His career started at his hometown radio station, WCDL, in Carbondale, PA. His career has been rather unusual – Bill has touched the entire spectrum of broadcasting, working in every department.

Bill’s broadcasting style and philosophy are old school. Visiting every sponsor and learning about their products before he opens the microphone, Bill strives for sincerity, intelligence and deliberateness in his delivery. Most of his clients are small business owners. Bill is also known for his public speaking, appearances and MC work; he broadcasts at over 40 venues each year. He even MCd for former President Ronald Reagan’s appearance in the Binghamton area! In addition, Bill took a 25-minute radio polka show that began in 1968 to over 120 countries via the 247 PolkaHeaven network.

Bill received a Southern Tier Broadcaster’s Association “Living Legend” Award and was inducted into their Hall of Fame.
