WSKG Arts is proud to present its latest locally produced series, Late Fringe! Hosted by WSKG's Phil Westcott, this weekly program showcases the talented filmmakers of New York State. Each episode contains short films stretching across all genres of film. From narrative to documentary, comedy to drama, the surreal to 'normal', this show promises to have something for every fan of short films. Our debut episode features three short films with the first being We Often Cross The Lines, directed and edited by Andrew DesGaines and based on a poem by Steven T. Licardi. This short feature is a harrowing look at one man's struggle to overcome his addiction and blends the fine line between control and self destruction. The second feature is an experimental piece that comes to us from SUNY Fredonia and the mind of student filmmaker Jason Chadwick. Nothing Is Perfect focuses on the physical attributes of a person and explains that through natural growth, nothing is perfect. Finally, we have Proximity, which is an amusing look at what happens when you are actually visited by an alien from another world. Or did an alien even actually visit you?? This film was put together by the Binghamton Film Initiative and was written and directed by Tyler Downey.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtcHkp6XOY0
