WSKG Arts along with the Classical Pianists of the Future proudly present a special performance featuring Anastasia Rizikov and Michael Davidman. Both of these precocious talents have graced the Classical Expressions stage in years past and we are happy that they decided to return for another hour of classical piano.Canadian pianist Anastasia Rizikov is a remarkably poised and precocious seventeen year old who has already won major prizes all over the world. Resolving to compete in adult competitions since the age of twelve, Anastasia won first places over musicians twice her age in the following competitions: the Ettore Pozzoli International Piano Competition, along with prizes for best compulsory work by E. Pozzoli, and audience prize (Seregno, Italy, 2015).Born in New York City in 1997, Michael Davidman started piano lessons at five years old at Greenwich House Music School with Michiyo Morikawa, then from 2005-2015 piano performance with Efrem Briskin at Manhattan School of Music, conducting with Jonathan Strasser 2009-2015, and conducting with David Gilbert 2013-2015. Michael is presently studying piano with Robert McDonald at Curtis Institute of Music. This hour long recital features solo performances from both artists as well as two special 'four hands' selections that showcases both Anastasia and Michael at the same piano. WSKG Classical Music Director Bill Snyder hosts and conducts an interview with the two artists.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHRLUTtsF_ESETLIST1) Michael Davidman-Piano Sonata #2 in B-Flat Minor, Op. 23, Mvts 1 & 3 (Rachmaninoff)2) Anastasia Rizikov-Ballade No. 1 in G Minor, Op.23 (Chopin)3) Michael Davidman & Anastasia Rizikov-Six Morceaux, Op. 11 (Rachmaninoff)4) Michael Davidman & Anastasia Rizikov-Italian Polka (Rachmaninoff)Produced in partnership with the Classical Pianists of the Future
