An Enigmatic Pharaoh is the Subject of a Visually Stunning Opera

The Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season opens with Philip Glass' 'Akhnaten.' It has gotten rave reviews and has sold out its entire run.  We hear from Ithaca College alumnus Zachary James, who makes his network broadcast debut in the role of Akhnaten's father.  He talks about why this production has broken records everywhere it plays, his unexpected journey to sing opera full-time, and why juggling is an important aspect of the opera.
