A Busy Conductor Makes a Stop in Binghamton

Binghamton Community Orchestra welcomes guest conductor Evan Meccarello for a concert of music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Alexander Borodin, Stephanie Berg. Maurice Ravel, as well as excerpts from Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen sung by mezzo-soprano Jessica Best. Evan Meccarello joins us to talk about the concert, his busy conducting schedule, and when he gets to play his own instrument, the violin.

WSKG Classical airs the Grand Finals Concert from the Metropolitan Opera on Independence Day at 1pm. We hear from Waterloo, NY native Lindsay Kate Brown who was one of the finalists.
