'Great Performances at the Met: Il Trovatore'

Soprano Anna Netrebko appears in her highly anticipated Met role debut as Leonora, the tortured heroine who sacrifices her own life for the love of the Gypsy troubadour in Verdi’s opera, Il Trovatore. Netrebko sings Leonora’s aria from Act IV — “D’amor sull’ali rosee” — at the final dress rehearsal for the Met Opera’s Il Trovatore.  Dmitri Hvorostovsky sings Count di Luna, with Yonghoon Lee as Manrico, the title character, Štefan Kocán as Ferrando and Dolora Zajick as the gypsy Azucena.
