NEW YORK NOW - Eric Trump, the middle son of President Donald Trump, will have to appear for a deposition before the New York Attorney General’s Office sometime in the next two weeks, a state judge ruled Wednesday. New York Attorney General Letitia James said her office would move forward with the deposition sometime in the next two weeks.
ALBANY, NY (WSKG) - Saying he does not trust the federal government, Governor Andrew Cuomo says New York State will conduct its own review of any COVID-19 vaccines that are deemed to be ready for use. Cuomo says the state will set up a review committee, made up of scientific and health experts, to check that any coronavirus vaccine approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration is indeed safe to be injected into people.

Andrew Cuomo is traveling to Savannah, Georgia Monday to offer assistance to local officials in their fight against COVID-19, which has overwhelmed several states in the south, including Georgia. Cuomo is scheduled to hold a roundtable discussion with Savannah Mayor Van R. Johnson in the early afternoon, before which he’ll share best practice in curbing the disease.
BUFFALO, NY (WBFO) - A Breonna Taylor protest march winding its way back to Buffalo City Hall Wednesday evening was disrupted when a pickup truck drove through the crowd and drove away, leaving an injured legal observer on Niagara Square with apparent broken bones. Protest marches that began with the death of George Floyd in May were given new life Wednesday when a Louisville grand jury did not indict police officers in the death of Taylor in March during a mishandled police drug raid.
SYRACUSE, NY (WRVO) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration Wednesday approved a saliva test for COVID-19 developed by SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, which means the test can now be used nationwide. The test was developed by Upstate with Quadrant Biosciences, a company located in the Upstate campus.
