Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra presents ‘A Night at the Ballet’ featuring a suite of music from Sergei Prokofiev’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ with narration provided by Josh Sedelmeyer, and music from all three of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s ballets: ‘Swan Lake’, ‘The Sleeping Beauty’, and ‘The Nutcracker.’ Music Director Daniel Hege joins us to talk about the concert with excerpts from the scores.

TOMPKINS COUNTY, NY (WSKG) - A state road through Ithaca was blocked by protestors with the Democratic Socialists of America during a pro-Trump rally on Friday. At least one Trump banner was taken and burned in the road, and some of the Trump supporters in attendance were cornered into the county GOP headquarters.
BINGHAMTON, NY (WSKG) — Schools in New York state’s yellow zones will begin mandatory COVID-19 testing this week as part of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Cluster Action Initiative to curb the spread of the virus in counties where cases have spiked. As of Monday, there were 563 active COVID-19 cases in Broome County, down from 668 on Thursday.

ALBANY, NY (WSKG) - The coronavirus infection rate has been creeping up in New York, though it still remains well below the rates in most other states. Gov. Andrew Cuomo is arguing, though, that 20 COVID-19 hot spots in New York should not count against the state’s overall low numbers.
NEW YORK NOW - New details emerged Sunday on how health officials in New York could administer a future vaccine for COVID-19, with essential workers and high-risk individuals slated to receive the injection first, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. Individuals living in areas with a high prevalence of the virus would receive the vaccine first, according to a draft plan shown by Cuomo during a press conference in New York City.
