Master Gardener Eve Berman joins us to talk about ‘Much Ado in the Garden’, a Shakespeare-themed event taking place in the Cutler Botanic Garden at the Cornell Cooperative Extension grounds on Front Street in Binghamton.  There will be music, food, readings, and costumed characters.

    NEW YORK NOW - Large internet service providers will be required to officer plans for high-speed connections at $15 per month to low-income customers starting in the middle of June after legislation on the mandate was signed into law Friday. New York state will also partner with philanthropic organizations to provide free high-speed internet access to 50,000 students in low-income school districts for one year.

  • Cuomo Asked to Ban Non-Essential State Travel to Arkansas Over Transgender Laws

    NEW YORK NOW - One of the few openly gay members of the state Legislature is calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to ban non-essential state travel to Arkansas after lawmakers there approved a pair of bills targeted at transgender youth and athletes in recent weeks. Assembly member Daniel O’Donnell, D-Manhattan, asked Cuomo in a letter Friday to issue the ban, calling the new Arkansas laws “dangerous and harmful.” O’Donnell wrote.

    ROCHESTER, NY (WXXI) - A medical expert called by state prosecutors to testify before a grand jury in the investigation of Daniel Prude told jurors that he believed Prude died of a sudden cardiac arrest, and that none of the police officers who arrested him caused his heart to fail.  CLICK HERE.
