BINGHAMTON, NY (WSKG) — The Broome County Democratic Executive Committee is calling for the immediate resignation of Endicott Mayor Linda Jackson and Deputy Mayor Cheryl Chapman.

The condemnation comes after the two engaged with a Facebook post that said White Lives Matter.

"The recent actions of the elected leadership of the Village of Endicott are not only racist but a dereliction of duty that both the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor were sworn to uphold," said Democratic Party Chair Bridget Kane in a statement.

Chapman is a Democrat, Jackson a Republican. WSKG has requested a response from the Broome County Republican Party.
