Andreas Klein, piano

Andreas Klein, piano
On Sunday, May 18 at 3 PM, Friends of Music of Stamford, NY presents internationally acclaimed pianist Andreas Klein, a popular repeat performer at the Stamford concert series. For this engagement, Klein will play his “Fantasies” program, featuring works by Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt, Debussy, and Balakirev.
Klein is widely admired as a pianist of rare sensitivity and musicality.
After his meteoric start in his native Germany, performing recitals and as an orchestra soloist, he eventually answered the call to go to the Juilliard School in New York. In the years that followed, Klein has extensively toured North America, as well as Europe and South America. He has performed in many of the leading houses from Wigmore Hall in London to the Berlin Philharmonie, as well as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Klein is as at home with the grandeur of playing with the Berlin Philharmonic or the Ravinia Festival as he is with the intimacy of Le Poisson Rouge in New York City and the church setting in Stamford, NY.
This event is generously hosted by the First Presbyterian Church at 96 Main Street, Stamford, NY. Admission is by donation at the door; the suggested donation is $15 per person, $10 for seniors & students. There is no charge for those under age 13.
