Everyone Knows Someone: Real stories of people who have had abortions
The Forthright Theatre Project Presents: "Everyone Knows Someone" based on the adage “Everyone loves someone who has had an abortion”. "Everyone Knows Someone" seeks to humanize and de-stigmatize abortion through a lively, compelling performance of real stories from people who have had them, framed with material about reproductive rights in the United States. This collection of scenes and monologues features a multi-generational, multi-ethnic cast. Reception to follow.
The show was created by Elizabeth Rodrigues and Jane Elliott, and is presented with the support of the Ross Fund, the Kaschak Institute, and in partnership with the Reproductive Justice Working Group of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Binghamton. Directed by Natasha Lorca Yannacañedo.
