On Saturday, September 27, Binghamton alum Stacy Newman Winterfield '99 will be hosting a workshop, "Moments on the Journey to Paper Quilts," beginning at noon in the Main Gallery of the Binghamton University Art Museum.

Newman Winterfield has coined her work as “Paper Quilts,” mixing printmaking with sewing the pieces together to become a quilt that takes on a life of their own. She pursued her passion earning a bachelor's degree in studio art from Binghamton University in 1999 and a master's degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2005. Join Winterfield and the art museum staff in a paper quilt workshop where you will learn how she has honed her craft and work together to create a community quilt.
