"Crafting the Narrative: The Role of Public Relations in the Suffrage Movement" explores how early activists created one of history’s most successful communication campaigns. This lecture explores how suffragists masterfully employed every available media tool – from media relations outreach to media monitoring and more – to transform their vision into reality. Discover how movement leaders like Susan B. Anthony crafted compelling narratives, managed sophisticated message campaigns, and pioneered modern public relations techniques even before public relations became a formal profession. Their strategic approach to changing hearts and minds offers invaluable lessons for today’s communicators and social change advocates.

Monthly Open Mic returns starting Thursday, January 9th, and the first Thursday of the month after that (February 6, March 6, April 3, May 1, and June 5). Bring your Instruments - or your poem or story - and Friends for an evening of Music and the Spoken Word in our professional setting. No charge for the evening (although donations gladly accepted) – and some refreshments will be available.

As part of the search process for the next president of Binghamton University, the search firm,
WittKieffer, is seeking feedback from a wide array of university constituents. They will be
hosting several listening sessions that will focus on understanding what the community think the
qualities/traits of the next president would be beneficial; the challenges and opportunities of the
position; and what would make the Binghamton area attractive to the next president.

Join us March 7th from 5-7pm as we showcase the work of local artist Stacia Humby in our guest lounge. Stacia is a self-taught Ithaca native with a penchant for pens.

The opening reception is part of Ithaca Gallery Night. If you cannot make the opening we’d love you to stop by in March during office hours to see her work and enjoy our cozy quiet lounge. Call for our current winter hours before stopping in.
