About the orchid show:Experience the Orchid Show, a breathtaking space filled with exotic beauty and captivating aromas, from April 12 to 13 at the Johnson City Senior Center that will be transformed into a visual paradise of thousands of blooming, colorful orchids.
The Finger Lakes Bonsai Society exhibit will complement the show with beautiful examples of miniature trees and plants meticulously cared for years with patience, artistry, and connection to nature.Kid-friendly interactive displays of origami (orchids and origami) and scavenger hunts occur throughout the day. Free orchid repotting and introduction to orchids are presentations available at the show.

April is recognized as the “Month of the Young Child” by the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). During April, we honor young children, their families, and their caregivers. In conjunction with this celebration, the Broome Educators of Children Association (BECA) at SUNY Broome Community College and NYAEYC are sponsoring the 42nd annual Children’s Fair. This year’s Children’s Fair theme is "Building Big Ideas.” Families are invited to celebrate by enjoying an interactive, fun-filled family day. There will be many engaging, hands-on activities for young children and exhibits of local community resources. Nutritious and very low-cost lunches and snacks will be available for your convenience!
