Join us in the captivating realm of frogs and insects in our brand-new program! Join us for an unforgettable exploration of these incredible creatures, with a special focus on those that call vernal pools their seasonal home.

Experience the wonder of their metamorphic life cycles as we unravel the mysteries of their development from egg to adult. Gain insights into the vital role vernal pools play in supporting diverse ecosystems and the fascinating adaptations of the creatures that inhabit them.

Highlights of the Presentation:

Guided walk to our vernal pool for an up-close encounter with outdoor amphibian friends.
Informative discussions on the significance of vernal pools.
Engaging animal show featuring animal ambassadors.

April is recognized as the “Month of the Young Child” by the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). During April, we honor young children, their families, and their caregivers. In conjunction with this celebration, the Broome Educators of Children Association (BECA) at SUNY Broome Community College and NYAEYC are sponsoring the 42nd annual Children’s Fair. This year’s Children’s Fair theme is "Building Big Ideas.” Families are invited to celebrate by enjoying an interactive, fun-filled family day. There will be many engaging, hands-on activities for young children and exhibits of local community resources. Nutritious and very low-cost lunches and snacks will be available for your convenience!
