Abby Posner has been a working musician in Los Angeles for the past 18 years. She isbest known for her ability to play nearly any instrument that she can lay her hands on. Ifyou have seen Abby perform live, you know she can play a mean lead-blues guitar solo,or throw down a complex Earl Scruggs banjo riff. You also may have spotted her playingdrums, mandolin, or bass while using her looping pedal. In addition to her versatility, sheputs passion and soul into everything she plays. Her music runs the gamut from Folk toRoots to Americana and is not afraid to lean on the blues or sometimes indie pop. She is as varied musically as the instruments she plays.
Gatherings; a concert highlighting many major life events for which we come together, observe and celebrate in music. From funeral sentences by Henry Purcell, a Handel Coronation Anthem, to Daniel Pinkham's Wedding Cantata and more, these performances will bring us together and help us to recognize the power of music in our lives. This project is made possible with funds from the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation and the Tier Three Project Support program, a regrant program of the County of Onondaga with the support of the County Executive and administered by CNY Arts.

On April 13, 2025 (Palm Sunday), a group of local singers and orchestral players will perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s timeless masterpiece, Requiem, at the Tully United Community Church at 3:00 pm. Admission will be free, but donations will be gratefully accepted.
Stephen B. Wilson, SUNY Cortland Professor of Music, Emeritus, will conduct an orchestra of twenty-three players, a forty-voice chorus, and a quartet of soloists.
These musicians will perform Robert D. Levin’s most recent completion of Mozart’s originally unfinished work, which he published in spring, 1993. The orchestra will consist of two clarinets, two bassoons, a trio of trombones (alto, tenor, and bass), timpani, organ, and strings (violins, violas, cellos, and bass).
Dr. Wilson will be leading the ensemble in this work for only the second time in his lengthy career as conductor. He first performed it in 1985, when he was a new member of the music department at SUNY Cortland.
The concert is presented and sponsored by the Tully United Community Church.
