VESTAL, NY (WSKG) - Delaware and Steuben Counties have reported their first deaths related to COVID-19.
The Delaware County Public Health Department said the person was hospitalized with the disease and died April 1st. It will not share information about the person’s age, gender, length of illness or whether there was an underlying health condition.
In Steuben County, the woman was an 89-year-old resident of the Village of Bath. She died while hospitalized.
While these are the first deaths in Delaware and Steuben Counties, four people have died in Broome and one in Otsego County.
In Pennsylvania, four people have died of COVID-19 in Lackawanna County.*
