Calling all teachers! Join WSKG Education staff as Maine-Endwell Central School District hosts EdCampSTNY, an “Un-Conference” for educators on Saturday, April 6, 2019.
The FREE event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at Homer Brink Elementary School, 3618 Briar Lane, Endwell, NY.
As an un-conference, there are no pre-set workshop topics and no set presenters at the EdCamp. Instead, the learning that day is determined, and driven, by the attendees. The sessions are created by the attendees, at the camp, not ahead of time. When the attendees arrive the session board is blank, leaving the possibilities open to what the educators want, right at that time. In turn, attendees who are experts, or have experience in the areas of interest, step-up and volunteer to facilitate the sessions. Professional development comes from the needs, and the expertise of the group.
The day will begin with breakfast and networking from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. An introduction to the day and session building follows. Attendees will then choose the sessions they would like to attend.
