The Long View film tells the story of a sustained student, educator and community organizing effort to transform schools in Oakland, California. The importance of community participation, impact of inequitable funding, need for greater respect and value for the teaching profession, and the cost of the high turnover among school administrators are common threads uniting viewers around the nation.
