Chuck’s Comedy Club: Kelly Kellz

October 28 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Kelly Stinnett was Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI she was raised by her single mother Debra Stinnett and is the oldest of three. Kelly mother encouraged her as a child to express herself through laughter and gave her the freedom to join as many extracurricular activities as possible. Kelly’s jokes came naturally as a child which lead her to joining a forensics team in junior high school ( John Burroughs) as well as high school (Harold S. Vincent) where she excelled in the solo humorous category. She was also captain of the Drama Club where she enjoyed acting, performing and being the MC of most of the school’s events. By the end of high school Kelly had decided to pursue a career in Communications: Radio and TV Broadcasting. Kelly stayed involved in her gift by joining Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and being the face of her chapter Delta Kappa at Central State University where she graduated class of 2008. Six months after graduation she packed her things in her 98 Dodge Intrepid and headed back home. She was offered a job as a 5th grade teacher in a Choice school and she took the offer. She has been teaching for the past four years and was even awarded Teacher of the Year in 2010. After a few months she was reunited with her old high school boyfriend James Davis. Only 11months later they were engaged. Even though the two love birds relationship was full of fun and excitement James knew that there was more to come so he dared her to do stand-up. She took the Challenge Mothers Day 2009 as she graced the stage at Savoys Night Club and never looked back. When asked where she got her material from she replied with “LIFE EXPERIENCES” she channel a lot of her jokes to men cheating, big girls, dead beat dads, being broke, sex and much more. She has dreams and aspirations on becoming a full time comedian/actress within the near future.
