All Aboard! Tour of the Former DL&W Train Station
April 6 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm$10
Revisit the days when railroad travel linked the nation on a guided tour of the recently landmarked former DL&W station led by railroad historian Gene Endres. Gene has been a life-long train buff, having grown up not far from the Erie Railroad Greenwood Lake Division in Montclair, New Jersey. He commuted by rail for his four years at Stevens Institute of Technology, and for another three while working for Ciba Pharmaceutical in Summit, New Jersey. He is also fond of history of all kinds, particularly local history since moving to Ithaca in 1973. Along the way, he worked as an audio engineer for Ithaca College for nearly 30 years, and has been a radio host there and a journalist for the Ithaca Times.
Limited spots are available. Tickets are $10 per person.
