Ten or more residents of Ithaca’s Fall Creek neighborhood will spruce up their gardens for display for this year’s Fall Creek Garden Tour on Sunday, July 14 from 11 AM – 3 PM. The Fall Creek Garden Club presents this free, self-guided tour every year in order to highlight a variety of urban gardens and gardeners. On the tour visitors will see not only well-tended front yards, but also the hidden delights of private backyards. Garden hosts are present to answer questions.
Visitors begin the tour, any time after 11 a.m., by going to Thompson Park at the corner of Cayuga St. and Cascadilla Creek to pick up a map with garden locations and descriptions.
While at the park, don’t forget to buy raffle tickets for prizes (drawing at 3 p.m.) donated by local garden centers. The Garden Club will also be selling colorful T-shirts featuring its woodcut logo.
