Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Festival 2019

Join the Vestal Museum in its annual celebration of the Haudenosaunee people at the 2019 Haudenosaunee Festival on September 21st 2019 from 11AM – 3PM. This year our theme is focused on women and their impact within Haudenosaunee culture.

Featuring traditional Haudenosaunee cuisine from the Onondaga farm, Chris Thomas & the Onondaga dancers from 1PM-2PM, traditional lacrosse stick maker Alf Jacques, active Onondaga Nation Council member and Faith Keeper Tony Gonyea, children’s pottery making contest with judging @ 2:30PM, clips of a documentary on the history of lacrosse courtesy of Inside Lacrosse Founder Robert Carpenter, an exhibition focused on Haudenosaunee women, authentic vendors, art and much more! Admission is free! You won’t want to miss this!
