John, Trish and Joel “break up Christmas” at Cranberry Coffeehouse
June 1 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm$10
Breakin’ Up Christmas at the Cranberry Coffeehouse in June!
The fabulous John Kirk, Trish Miller and Joel Rosenberger, snowed out in January, are rescheduled for Saturday, June 1 at the Cranberry Coffeehouse, Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 183 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, 7:30 p.m. The trio features lively fiddle tunes, fancy footwork and folksongs.
Highlights of their program include John’s fiddlin’ and Trish’s dynamic clog dancing. Rosenberger adds colorful, musical breaks on accordion, tenor banjo and Irish harp. Their selections are traditional folksongs and fiddle tunes, originals, historical, sentimental and funny pieces. Some tunes are toe-tappin’ barn-burners!
Within the past year, John has released several recordings, so many of the songs and tunes for this concert will be new to the Binghamton audience.
Sing Out magazine said, “John Kirk is a fine player on all his instruments and he sings quite well. With such a widely varied repertoire, there’s really something here for everyone. These folks are worth seeking out.”
All musicians, vocalists, storytellers and dancers are encouraged to share their talent in the middle set, with performances limited to 5 minutes.
Suggested donation of $10.
Handicapped parking is available in front of the church. Coffee and goodies will be available for purchase from the Cranberry Coffeehouse kitchen. For more details, visit: www.cranberrycoffeehouse.org.
