Finger Lakes Independence Center Second Annual Scavenger Hunt: “Hunt for Independence”
July 18 @ 9:00 am - July 26 @ 2:30 pm
In honor of the 28th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which provided equal rights to people with disabilities, FLIC is hosting “Hunt for Independence,” another fun and fantastic community scavenger hunt.
Teams of 1-5 participants are invited to sign up. Each team will receive the list of 30 hunt items and given a week to find each item. Examples from last year’s hunt include finding a large print menus and locating an accessible parking spot. This year, teams will be asked to take photos at the site of each find. Thanks to their generosity, we already have great prizes from Edible Arrangements, Ithaca Coffee, Sweet Melissa’s, Mimi’s Attic, Firehouse Subs, Agway of Ithaca, Corelife Eatery, Cinemapolis, Coltivare, and D-Squared Construction.
Please register your team by 7/18/18, by emailing Clair at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide your team name, number of players, and team contact person. Lists will be released on 7/20/18, and all finds must be submitted by 1:00pm on 7/26/18, with a party immediately following. Closing celebration will be held at Finger Lakes Independence Center, located at 215 Fifth Street, Ithaca, NY.
