Homer’s Odyssey recounts the adventures of Odysseus, king of Ithaca, as he seeks to return home after the Trojan War. In four monthly online readings, pairs of Ithaca-based writers will provide their own take on the theme of odysseys, from the physical to the intellectual to the emotional.

The May 18 readings feature: Minfong Ho (writer of young adult and children’s books, including The Clay Marble) and Kenneth A. McClane (poet and author of Color: Essays on Race, Family, and History)
