A Bull, a Byrd, Peter and Peter’s Son:
Renaissance Keyboard Music from England and the Low Countries

At the turn of the 17th century, innovative musical ideas exchanged between composers from England, Italy and the Low Countries of northern Europe resulted in an explosion of music intended for a variety of keyboard instruments, including virginals, clavichords, harpsichords and pipe organs. This program will present a sampling of free compositions and works based on songs and dances of the period played on a small chamber organ (Gerret Klop, Netherlands 1996) which is ideally suited for this style of music.

This recital will also be viewable after the premiere at 4pm on January 31.
A reception with the artist on zoom will follow the recital, find the link at www.musicatstluke.org.
