Panel Discussion: Women in Evolutionary Biology

Join us for a panel discussion encompassing the stories of five women in evolutionary biology.

The panel will be moderated by Emily Sessa, an Associate Professor of Biology at the University of Florida. She received her BA from Cornell in 2005 (and was a member of the PRI staff from 2005-2007). She received her PhD at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her research focuses on the systematics and evolution of ferns and lycophytes.

Leslie Babonis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Cornell.

Victoria Morgan is a PhD student at the University of California at Davis, where she studies the genetics of land crabs to understand how they adapted to living on land.

Corrie Morreau is Professor of Arthropod Biosystematics and Biodiversity and Curator of the Insect Collection at Cornell.

Chelsea Specht is a Professor in the School of Integrative Plan Science at Cornell.

Maren Vitousek is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Cornell.
