Poet Andrew Hudgins and fiction writer Erin McGraw read at Alfred University

The Alfred Literary Festival kicks off with readings by poet Andrew Hudgins and fiction writer Erin McGraw on Thursday, April 5 at 5:30pm in Scholes Library on the Alfred University campus. A reception and book signing will follow the readings.
Andrew Hudgins is the author of nine books of poetry, including American Rendering: New and Selected Poems (2010), Shut Up! You’re Fine (2009), and After the Lost War (1988), and Saints and Strangers (1985, finalist for the Pulitzer Prize). He has also published a memoirs, The Joker (2013), and two books of craft. A recipient of a Guggenheim award and a Stegner fellowship, Hudgins is Professor Emeritus from The Ohio State University.
Erin McGraw is the author of six books, three story collections and three novels, including Better Food for a Better World (2013) and The Seamstress of Hollywood Boulevard (2008). Her stories and essays have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, STORY, The Southern Review, Tin House, American Short Fiction, The Kenyon Review, and many other journals and magazines. Recently retired from teaching at the Ohio State University, she lives in Tennessee with her husband, the poet Andrew Hudgins.
