Romanovs Under House Arrest (Lecture)

November 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Russian specialist and independent curator Marilyn Swezey presents the gripping story of Russia’s last imperial family under house arrest in the Alexander Palace. Learn about the life of Tsar Nicholas II and his family during the five months spent in captivity in their own residence following the emperor’s abdication in 1917. Swezey draws on first-hand accounts by a chaplain, the tsar’s attendants, and government officials to provide a fascinating glimpse into the imperial family’s experiences in confinement before being sent into exile.
