Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst
July 24 @ 10:00 am - July 26 @ 5:00 pm$4 – $62
Celebrating 35 Years at Westchester’s Most Beloved Art and Shopping Experience at One of Its Most Popular Landmarks! Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst, a celebration of all things handmade, returns to Tarrytown, New York for its 35th anniversary on the rescheduled dates of July 24, 25 26, 2020. This semi-annual event featuring 275 of America’s best artists and modern makers is held at Lyndhurst, one of the country’s most beautiful historic Gothic Revival estates.
Crafts at Lyndhurst continues to thrive by being Westchester County’s favorite art and shopping experience and is a Hudson Valley event not to miss! For over three decades this cultural phenomenon has brought hundreds of thousands of craft lovers to the Lyndhurst estate, raised almost four million dollars for the National Trust for Historic Preservation and helped to sustain the careers of thousands of independent artists from across the country.
Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst is more than incredible shopping; it is a shopping experience, one that cannot be replicated in a big box store or online. Enthusiastic shoppers will find unique and uncommon handmade items that can’t be found in traditional stores including: original fashions, accessories and jewelry; functional and sculptural works in ceramics, glass, metal, fiber, wood and mixed media; and fine art painting, printmaking, drawing and photography.
Visitors can shop-til-they-drop then stay to: have lunch with a smorgasbord of tantalizing options; taste small batch gourmet specialties; sip unique beverages; and enjoy New York State distillery and winery tastings! Plus, experience fun family activities like interactive puppet theater with Middle Earth Studios, face painting, storytelling and more; watch craft demos like wheel thrown pottery; and get hands on by making their own hand painted silk scarf!
The cost of admission to the craft show includes use of property’s 67 sprawling acres with breathtaking scenic views of the Hudson River, the nation’s first steel-framed conservatory and carriage house. Tours (for an additional fee) are available to experience the magnificent Neo-Gothic mansion museum and one of America’s first bowling alleys! Truly a perfect day for the entire family!
Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst will be held on the rescheduled dates of July 24, 25, 26 2020. A weekend pass is $12; seniors (62+) and veterans are $11; children 6 – 16 are $4 and children under 6 are free. Mansion tours are additional.
