Take Action for Animals: Animal Legislation and Advocacy

April 9 @ 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

The Susquehanna Animal Shelter (SAS) is hosting Libby Post, Executive Director of the New York State Animal Protection Federation (NYSAPF) on Monday, April 9 here in Otsego County. Ms. Post will be presenting “Take Action for Animals: Animal Legislation and Advocacy”, a topic which will explore the current legislation in New York State related to companion animals. She will also provide advice and guidance on how to become involved.
The first presentation will take place at 3:00pm at SUNY Oneonta’s Fitzelle Hall room 304. The second presentation will take place at 6:00pm at Red Shed Brewery in Cooperstown. At Red Shed Brewery, the first hour will be focused on Ms. Post’s presentation and the second hour will be animal trivia with prizes awarded.
The events are part of an on-going initiative the SAS is leading to keep Otsego County residents informed about the increasing homeless animal population. The SAS believes the more people who are empowered to advocate for animals, the more animals they will be able to save.
