February 23 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm$10 - $18
This February, the Binghamton University Theatre Department proudly presents The Liar, adapted by David Ives from the 17th-century comedy by Pierre Corneille.
Directed by professor Tom Kremer, this fresh adaptation is hilarious, mischievous, romantic and delightfully intricate. The extravagant liar ‘Doronte’ tells anything but the truth to win the hand of the alluring ‘Clarice’ — or is it ‘Lucrece,’ her shy friend that he’s fallen for? Watch as mayhem unfolds as someone who can’t tell the truth meets someone who can’t tell a lie. What happens, one may ask? Only the audience knows! Laugh yourself silly watching this masterful mix up of falsehoods that bloom into truths.
Performing in Watters Theater in the Fine Arts Building at Binghamton University at:
8 p.m. February 23, 24, 28 and March 1
2 p.m. February 24
The best parking for this performance for drivers without a campus permit is in the Parking ramp near Fine Arts (paid) or in Lot D and E which is free after 5 p.m. on Fridays for the weekend.
