The Resistance: The Dawn of the Anti-Trump Opposition Movement

Sidney Tarrow, Emeritus Maxwell Upson Professor of Government and Adjunct Professor at Cornell Law School, will present his new co-edited volume, “The Resistance: The Dawn of the Anti-Trump Opposition Movement” (Oxford University Press). In “The Resistance” Tarrow and David S. Meyer bring together both younger and senior scholars to unearth the origins and dynamics of different sectors of the anti-Trump movement. Tarrow and invited discussant Glenn Altschuler, Thomas and Dorothy Litwin Professor of American Studies, will be offering both an overview of the emerging movement and sharp analyses of the prospects of its different sectors for fighting off the danger to democracy in the Trump era and exercising political influence.
