University Wind Symphony Concert: To Bind the Nation’s Wounds
April 28 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Our nation has a fascinating history and this concert matches significant wind band music to our past. The theme is based on the words from the second inaugural address by President Abraham Lincoln. With a little history and a lot of great music we’ll explore music representing colonial times, the westward expansion, significant historic events, and the spirit of America. Featured works include compositions by William Schuman, David R. Gillingham. Jerry Bilik, and Claude T. Smith, conducted by Dan Fabricius.
Tickets for the concert are $10, general admission; $7, for faculty, staff, alumni and seniors; and free for students and are available at the Anderson Center Box Office from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. weekdays, by calling 607-777-ARTS, online (anderson.binghamton.edu) or at the door. For more information, call 607-777-2592, visit the Music Department website (music.binghamton.edu) or become a fan on Facebook.
