University Wind Symphony Concert: Travelogue

December 8

$7 – $10

Although we cannot always physically travel to far-away places music can give us the essence of places we would like to visit. The audience will hear diverse contemporary works by notable wind band composers including Alfred Reed and Samuel Hazo. This concert also includes stunning arrangements of works by Percy Grainger and Ottorino Respighi, a fantastic work with historical significance by Camille Saint-Saens, and even an exotic piece by Pulitzer Price-winning composer, Michael Colgrass. All aboard, as we depart from the Binghamton University campus on this amazing musical journey at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 in Osterhout Concert Theater at Binghamton University. Tickets are available at the Anderson Center Box Office from noon to 5:30 p.m. weekdays, by calling (607) 777-ARTS, online at anderson.binghamton.edu, or at the door.
