Women’s Works annual concert

March 18 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm


The concert celebrates music by women composers during Women’s History Month. Special guest composer and performer Shruthi Rajasekar. A senior at Princeton, Rajasekar is trained in the Carnatic (South Indian classical) and Western classical music idioms, Shruthi explores intersections of cultural identity in her music.

This concert will feature vocal and instrumental works by Viardot, Caccini, Aleotti, Gubaidulina and Larsen. Performers include members of Women’s Works (Kristen Park, Beth Kelly, Jennifer Lawrence Birnbaum, Jennifer DeLapp Birkett & Stephanie Ortolano), CSMA Recorder Ensemble and guests (Marija Bosnar, Danbi Lee) plus a chamber chorus!

Refreshments and conversations following the concert.
