VESTAL, NY (WSKG) - Broome County Executive Jason Garnar is closing the Greater Binghamton Transportation Center, the bus station in downtown Binghamton, effective midnight on Friday. It's an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19.
This affects all commercial bus traffic, but B-C Transit buses will continue.
Garnar is asking everyone who doesn’t live in Broome and doesn’t need to be there for work or any other reason not to come.
He’s also asking hotel and motel operators, landlords and temporary lodging providers to make sure occupants are in compliance with the unnecessary travel order.
