SYRACUSE, NY (WRVO) - Gov. Andrew Cuomo has sent a letter to the Trump administration and President-elect Joe Biden, raising concerns about the federal government’s vaccination program, and proposing some changes. The governor said distributing the vaccine will be the greatest governmental undertaking since the start of the pandemic.
ALBANY, NY (WSKG) - The New York State Thruway Board voted to raise tolls by nearly a third for drivers who don’t have an electronic E-ZPass, beginning in January. The change has so far drawn little reaction among the public, but two State Senators are against parts of the plan.
KEYSTONE CROSSROADS - Pennsylvania is reporting 9,797 new COVID-19 cases and 107 deaths since Sunday. That brings the statewide case total to 361,464, and the death toll to 10,383 people.
TOMPKINS COUNTY, NY (WSKG) - A bipartisan group of federal lawmakers from the U.S. Senate and House put forward an emergency COVID-19 relief package in Washington, D.C. Tuesday morning. Many of the senators credited the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus for bringing the group together and hammering out the proposal.
ROCHESTER, NY (WXXI) - When Gov. Andrew Cuomo committed to reducing HIV/AIDS cases in 2014, he created a task force called Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic in New York State. The task force, also called ETE, had the ambitious goal of ending the epidemic in the state by 2020.
