ITHACA, NY (WSKG) - Airports in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes are getting some infrastructure funding.
The plan is to use the money to build new fuel facilities, expand vehicle parking facilities, and pay for de-icing and emergency systems.
About $5 million will be split between the airports in Penn Yan-Yates; Ithaca; Elmira-Corning; Corning-Painted Post; Oneonta; and Broome County.
Other airports in upstate New York are receiving state infrastructure money from a capital grant program, according to Governor Andrew Cuomo.
