ITHACA, NY (WSKG) - In his bid for a third term, Ithaca Mayor Svante Myrick has an opponent The Tompkins County Board of Election confirmed that Adam Levine will be on the November ballot.
Last month, Levine announced his candidacy on his personal Facebook page. On his campaign website, he wants to lower the city's property taxes by enlarging Cornell University's contribution. On he website, Levine said he want to make Ithaca livable for more people through living wages and more affordable housing.
In a May 31 tweet, Myrick stated he would not contest Levine's name being on the ballot even though he did not collect enough signatures to have it automatically included.
The election will be November 5.
