ROCHESTER, NY (WXXI) - Monroe County deputies said that a 29-year-old man on board a flight headed to the Greater Rochester International Airport Tuesday night was subdued with the help of other passengers after he caused some problems.
Deputies said that at about 10pm, American Airlines flight 5174 was coming in from Charlotte, North Carolina, when the flight crew reported a passenger had become intoxicated and unruly.
Benjamin Cutulle of Gates allegedly began to argue with the flight crew, and had pushed and thrown a credit card at a crew member. Deputies say that other passengers intervened to help the flight crew, and then held and restrained Cutulle until it arrived at the airport.
Cutulle was evaluated by medical personnel at the airport, and then charged with harassment. He’s due back in court on Friday.
Authorities said no flights were delayed due to the incident.
