VESTAL, NY (WSKG) - For a third time, the Town of Vernon in Oneida County, has denied an application to hold Woodstock 50 at an area racetrack. According to the Associated Press, town officials said the permit was too late and rife with problems.
This comes after Watkins Glen International pulled out of a deal in June to hold the concert there.
The denial continues to leave Woodstock 50 without a home with less than a month before it's scheduled to start.
The festival has hit speed bump after speed bump since the spring. That includes a delay in ticket sales and the loss of a financial backer.
Last month, Schuyler County Administrator Tim O'Hearn told WSKG he expected the loss of Woodstock 50 to add up to a $50 million loss for the Watkins Glen area and surrounding Finger Lakes region.
