VESTAL, NY (WSKG) — Tioga County Legislative Chair Martha Sauerbrey has been elected First Vice President for the New York State Association of Counties.
The association announced that Sauerbrey was elected by the county officials from across the state.
“I appreciate the impact that NYSAC has on public policy in New York, and I am honored to continue learning and contributing to the successful endeavors of the association and my community,” Sauerbrey said in a press release.
NYSAC is a statewide organization of leaders from all of New York’s 57 counties. It represents the counties before federal and state officials.
Sauerbrey served on the Tioga county legislature for over a decade, and as chair of the Legislative Board since 2014.
